Many people have heard about “Triple Play” and don’t know what it is about. To make it quick just let’s say that is putting the three basic communications services all together into only one “wire”, that is getting Telephone service, cable and Internet all together. Team Speak 2 plays its part on this game offering a server-client voice communication tool that makes possible telephone like conversations over the Internet.
The first question that might come up to your mind is: why would I want to use it? The possible answers are varied but the main reason to use it is cost. Communications based on Internet are way more economic that classic telephone communications. In addition, typical concepts in telephone calls disappear like “long distance”, just to give an example.
Team Speak 2 is a server – client application meaning that the software has two versions: server and client. The client software is for the final user who wants a tool to make and receive calls and has a very intuitive and easy-to-use interface. The server software you can associate with the classic “operator” who administrates and gives support to the users connected two the system. The two parts together act as a conferencing system, which is suitable for non-profit organizations and businesses.
Since it’s become a high developed system its features are almost endless to list. However, let’s take a look to the most remarkable ones:
